The heartless summer is long gone
Soon the clouds will sail away
Rain will no more dance at my window
Where the dew drops will rest themselves
Waiting for the winter to come.
Nothing remains forever
But for the songs
Of a season lost
Nothing will remain
But for the memories
Of a season gone…

I have a feeling of sadness in me everytime i read something on "change". But this was too nicely done. This was so you.
Just a little suggestion if I'm allowed to give one; try rhyming :)
And the author is...?
(Beautiful, Soul.)
I am wrapped in my blanket this morning, the heat of August forgotten.
I am celebrating October, the season of the ancients.
I am sending blessings, grateful for your prose.
Lovely photograph.
Namaste,
Sherry
nice....i like the expression "Rain will no more dance at my window
Where the dew drops will rest themselves" the best... wish u a happy winter!
We can cry so fully to release the clouds from the sky, to where new songs can be heard singing, and to where the sun always shines. We can create our own internal weather. It is all beautiful if seen from above.
lovely poem....the only thing thats constant is change, isnt it!?
Nothing remains forever...songs and memories.....
You are developing a marvelous sense of rhythm, my friend, and a deft hand with the art of style. Nice work!
-->Mehreen
Change has a connection with "holding on," Mehreen. Probably that's what makes you sad. Try and let it go. You may find the answer.
Thanks for the "rhyming" suggestion. I will try to use that next time.

Memories of summer, indeed. Cant say I like this cold weather we've been having in October. I miss summer. And I'm in denial over winter.
Lovely poem. :)
Is it cricket season or something? Where have you been???
What a beautiful poem again. I love all seasons, they all come and go, and true leave lasting memories. Thanks for sharing this beautiful poem. Anna :)

Different seasons usher in different sets of feelings, I guess. It's intriguing, sometimes.

Let the words flow, Soul, they are in there. Don't resist them...
Then, for all the songs and memories, it has been a season well spent .. :)
